I arrived in Santiago, Chile at 8:00am on July 22. A group of other ISA students also took the same flight from Atlanta, Georgia, so I met some friends before I left the States. We stayed in Santiago for four days, touring and becoming acquainted with the other studnets. Our ISA group has about 65 students. The ISA staff is wonderful. I definitely believe that I picked the right study abroad organization. I live in Cerro Esperanza in Valparaiso, Chile with my host family. I have a father, a mother, two sisters, and a brother. They are very warm and welcoming, but it's still difficult for me to understand everything that they are saying. I begin classes at la Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso on Wednesday. I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to follow the lectures in class because the professors will speak so rapidly. I will try to upload pictures next time, because it isn't working at the moment. My camera isn't connecting to the computer anyway, so they weren't my pictures. Jamie
